Job Responsibilities
  • Undertake all activities regarding new product launching of seed and crop care products
  • Develop new principle for seed, conduct trial in Bangladesh for selection of variety
  • Understand soil, plants, seeds and products to better understand crop need and implement more effective and efficient farming practice.
  • Crop/Soil sample collection to investigate deficiencies, diseases and other changes.
  • Supervise plant sourcing, testing and selection.
  • Work with plants through the complete growth process from seeding to harvesting and packaging
  • Manage all aspect of the growth activities such as daily schedules for seed production, pest control and high breed rice and vegetable production etc.
  • Provide overall technical expertise and management of all agricultural-related activities.
  • Facilitate and provide guidance to farmers on appropriate crop plantation and farming techniques etc.
  • Responsible for production of celery crops; locating appropriate isolations, plant and seed production, transplanting, growing and seed harvest.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing scouting program for insects and disease for seed crops.
  • Develop and manage a production strategy for internal and external seed productions.
  • Coordinate the delivery of stock seed to support production orders.
  • Own seed production activities for R&D. Ensure the highest quality production of Breeder, Foundation and Pre-Commercial Seed.
  • Design, develop and deploy strategies to support over all vegetable seed production endeavors. Provide insight into the development of vegetable crop traits.
  • Locates and conducts the different applied researchers, demonstration on crop varieties, fertilizers and chemical initiated by or recommended by research institution as IRRI.
  • Perform regulatory activities at Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) and Ministry of Agriculture

Additional Requirements
  • Age 35 to 45 years
  • At least 5 year(s) experience in high breed vegetable and rice seed production.
  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):Agronomy, Horticulture, Farm Management, nursery, plant tissue culture, Project Management
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based farms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/Genetically Modified Crops).
  • Knowledge of Agricultural Engineering, Vertical Farming etc.
